Hi, I’m Andrea Fowler, and I’m an attorney here with Hyland, Padilla & Fowler, PLLC. Today I’m going to answer one of our most frequently asked questions: “Will I have to bring my case to trial or sue somebody to make a recovery?” Most personal injury claims do not go to court. We are able to reach a resolution and settle the claim prior to taking it to court. However, there are some exceptions where we disagree with the insurance company either on negligence or on the amount of money certain damages should be worth. Those cases do require litigation, which means we do have to take it in court in order to try to get a fair settlement for our clients in those situations.
If you need assistance with your worker’s compensation claim, or the insurance company is denying a claim you feel should be covered, give Hyland, Padilla & Fowler, PLLC a call today to discuss your situation with one of our Raleigh + Durham worker’s compensation attorneys.
